I most liked the first section of this book, which contained Asian inspired Western clothing from the 1870's through the 1920's. These were a lot of large clear photographs of the garments. I didn't pay a lot of attention to the modern clothing part of the book for 2 reasons. My interest area tends to be pre-WW2 & the modern examples were way-out couture that had little resemblance to traditional Asian influences.

Great in every way :content, photos, categories. For the fashion student, lover, designer, collector, expert. A small study in self of the subject matter.

Did not find the essays very insightful. Many of the best pieces did not get a page photo - just a tiny snap shot.
