Exercises...exercises.....exercises.....One would think these are boring and dull because they are the dreaded assigned exercises. But they are NOT. They are really beautiful etudes that are a pleasure to play, and yet are valuable as a resource to drill positions. The first time our teacher played them, we were amazed at how beautiful they sounded. Excellent workbook. Highly recommended.

You just can play it as written or make up rhythms and/or to give students some variety. It's useful.

I am excited to get this book. Need to learn positions on the violin. It is being offered at a great price. It came pretty promptly. Very pleased.

Very good for initial learning of positions. I bought it together with the first book and i use them both for several weeks now.I highly recommend for anyone who is interested in memorizing the fingerboard (the 2 books together cover up to 7th position).I wish there was a similar book for positions higher than 7.

2nd position...I hate it, but this is the book to learn it. A must have resource (along with volume I) for advancing students.
