I really appreciate this book for teens. Nancy and Dannah are offering pearls of wisdom and powerful, life-changing truth for young women. I read some of the negative reviews about one or he stories involving abuse and meth. I never read any story like this in the updated version of the book. I believe Amazon should remove these reviews if they are reviews of the older edition.If you are buying for a 13-14 year old, read it first as Nancy and Dannah suggest (some of the discussion about sex is frank but necessary). I bought this for a graduation gift for a senior. I am a 34-year-old mom and former public high school teacher.I believe God is using and will use this book and its Biblica truth to change the loves of many young women.

Such a great book for youth and adults! I really love both Nancy and Dannah's opinions in this book. I think it's balanced and they drive home some great points for women in our society today. I have led multiple high school small groups with this book, constantly give it to graduating seniors, and have discussed many of these points with women in their 20s. As I'm writing this review in 2016, the book is somewhat outdated in our culture today (i.e. references to MySpace, Aim, etc.) but using the stories and topics and applying them to today's issues for high schoolers such as inappropriate texting or sexting, snapchat, tindr, etc. would be appropriate and fitting.

I used this book as a bible study with my niece who's 14. Though the book does not have discussion questions, I created my own questions for us to discuss. This is a really good book for teens, touches on a lot of topics that teens face during their high school years. The chapters are broken down in manageable portions so it's fairly short and simple. We worked through this book over the Summer break and just did one Chapter a week. After we were done with the book, my niece told me that she enjoyed the book a lot and that she could relate to majority of the topics.

I have been looking for a book like this for my 12 year old daughter for a while. It is so thorough and touches on topics that every girl struggles with. We love it's honest approach and real life commentary. We also ordered the study guide to go with it, although the book is enough on it's own.

wish it was more "up to date" but still a great start with your pre-teen/tweens

We were told to buy this for youth group for my 7th grader. It's a great book that shows young girls the lies they are fed day in and day out. I really think this is something that cannot be stressed enough with our youth, especially girls in a culture so obsessed with social media, and outward appearance.

Excellent book to share with your daughters. My 16 year old granddaughter and her mom are doing this study together. Excellent!

I really appreciate this book and I hope to set up a bible study for teens at our church. There are a few chapters that are touchy (i.e. Sex) but I know necessary because, even if our teens won't admit it, they are faced with this topic every second of the day. I will definitely recommend this book to others.
