This paper is of fair to good quality. It is not very heavy and easy to use for folding. The color on each sheet is on one side; the backsides are white. The package states, "6 vibrant colors, plus gold foil". Technically, there is one gold sheet, four solid colors (red, purple, yellow and green), and two prints (orange with a white design that looks like repeated asterisks, and cyan-blue with white flowers blossoms). The prints look nice in my completed origami projects.The included "booklet" presents instructions for the following origami pieces: Simple Swan, Pig, Tortoise, Samurai Helmet, Rowboat, Star Box. These are perfect for a beginner adult, but a child will definitely need guidance to complete them.
Paper quality is fair.. good for easy simple models. But as for complex models.... not recommended.. and I wish they were not glossy, it would have way higher rating if they weren't glossy..
This book is really good because it starts out easy and you can work your way up or stay on the easy ones. This was my granddaughter's first origami book. She and her mom had looked at lots at stores to see which ones really would be good for beginners and this one was just right.
Great texture and proper thickness.
Love the sizes and the variety of sizes! the pictures in the instruction book are a bit tough to follow at times but that's what youtube videos are for, right?
