My husband and I are in the process of (hopefully) beginning the healing process from his emotional affair. We both very much want to it work just like Cindy and her husband but as she said the pitfalls remain even with God in the middle. You have to be willing to do the work. I pray we are both up to it. What this book did for us (he read it as well) is remind us to get on our knees as we try to heal just as we were both knocked on our knees, mine from his betrayal, his from his shame. Especially if you are trying to repair what seems beyond repair this book is definitely a great tool for guidance and encouragement . For those who are trying to get it back together or especially those who are not please look up Divorcecare. It's all over the country and great support. 15 dollars for entire course. For me when I in no way thought I would ever consider reconciliation and for him (he went to a different group) to see exactly how much hurt and damage he caused to his entire family. Best Wishes and prayers to all who are hurting so much now.

The honesty of this couple was amazing! I had even greater respect for the honesty of their church leadership in how they handled this matter when the affair came to light. I do not think I could have handled the affair and a baby the way Mrs. Beall handled it. I have never been married and I have no kids so reading a book on how a couple healing their marriage after an affair may seem odd, but as a Christian who is doing a lot of "hiding my shame," this was a good wake up call to lead an honest life and start to confess my sins to somebody else and receive healing. I am a woman and while I do not have a huge "video" pornography problem, I am having serious struggles with erotic novels. These novels are a woman's version of pornography!!! So this book has been an eye opening instruction manual to deal with my issues.Thank you.

Lots of tears while reading possibly because it was nice to hear that someone understood what I felt, who had experienced the same reactions from others (implying you are being a fool, or a doormat), reliving the pain of what has happened, and reading the thought provoking questions at the end of each Chapter. I like how the booked jumped around a bit because it helped me stay interested. She would go from talking about her marriage, to talking about a bible story, to talking about another couples experience. The ending of the book was the disappointment for me because she said all marriages just can't be saved, as if one person being committed and praying doesn't matter. Is there no power in prayer? The book actually left me feeling discouraged because my spouse is unrepentant, defensive etc. Opposite of the way spouses in the stories responded. Although this is how the book left me feeling, I still appreciate her be willing to share with honesty her range of emotions and path to healing.

Wow. This book is possibly the most helpful find I could have in my life right now. God is a redeemer and through him all things are possible. That is what I have learned from this book. What an amazing story. I urge anyone going through the experience of infidelity (of any kind) to give this a read. Powerful!!! I thank God for putting this into my hands.

This book is an excellent book and I highly recommend it to anyone who is struggling with broken trust in their marriage. My favorite part of the book was the excerpts from other couples who had experienced infidelity in their own marriages and how they overcomed the heartache to build an even stronger marriage than before.

Transformational in our journey through God’s redemptive work. For me, it was very relatable which kept me turning pages. There was biblical truth throughout which solidified the points, for me. I highly recommend this for any person making the decision to stay and rebuild a marriage after infidelity strikes, especially if you’re looking for biblical support in the decision to stay.

The author of this book did such a wonderful job on writing this material. It was full of God's word and she provided so much encouragement for married couples who are on the verge of throwing in the towel.

I recently discovered my husbands affair with a woman whom he too claimed was "just a friend" of many years. Painful betrayal doesn't even begin to express the emotions involved in this type of discovery. This book and the testimony shared here was truly an answer to prayer and a phenomenal tool that has given me insight into the true character and heart of forgiveness that can only come from the one who created us, knowing we would be weak and full of sin..... Yet he constantly forgives us. I recommend this book to anyone and everyone going through infidelity. Thank you Cindy for you willingness to share and your humility that will help others heal. Thank you Jesus for allowing me to find this book, for I know it was you who guided me to it during my painful hours of trying to make sense of this in my own understanding, only to be reminded to.... Trust in you with all my heart and lean not on my own understanding.
